Synopsis

1962. Matthias, a former soldier stationed in the Belgian Congo, goes into exile on an island in the Mediterranean Sea with his beloved Awa, a young Congolese woman he met during his deployment in Africa. Awa dreams of a better life, a life free from persecution. Matthias hopes to escape his past and, maybe, build a future.
“Ne Me Quitte Pas” is a journey across time that plunges the viewers into the traumatic experiences of a broken man. A spiraling descent into memories and waking dreams, at the end of which we will discover the touching destiny of a love that refuses to die.
